We seem to have more than our fair share
Of life’s setbacks and despair
Its two steps forward and one step back
Struggling to stay on track
Luck its seems has passed us by
Were always left to wonder why
We struggle on through thick and thin
Sometimes with a frown
Sometimes with a grin
But through it all it’s dawned on me
There is a driving force, consistently
You lift me up when I am down
You make me smile instead of frown
You’re caring, sharing and full of hope
You’ll badger
Cajole
And won’t let me mope
